Man...oh well...so there goes the Dave Roberts era in the Indians farm system. I really thought he would be the next Kenny Lofton. Oh well.

    Thumbs up

Not even Dave's Mom thought he would be the next Kenny Lofton.

Dave Roberts could have been a .280 hitter, steal 40 bases, but unfortunately, very little pop, and I'm not even sure he would have a doubles hitter.

AND, he didn't seem to get enough walks.

Another brilliant thread rolleyes Dave Roberst is a career minor Leaguer , he would hit 220 in the majors. I just imagine the rest of the league is in a bidding war for a stiff like Roberts rolleyes If this guy could hit 280 in the majors and steal 40 bases he would be getting more offers than Johnny Damon wouldn't you think Forrest?

Dave Roberts was hitting .328 through last nights game, with an OBP of .420 for the Dodgers. He is platooning with Marquis Grissom. Roberts also has 13 stolen bases so far, which projects out to 40 stolen bases...imagine that.

Roberts has too little pop for a centerfielder, but he probably could have been converted to second base.
